Moving Questions, Answered
Pricing, insurance, what we move and what we don’t. If your question isn’t here, call. The phones are answered 24 hours a day.
Pricing
How are local moves priced?
Local moves within Tampa Bay are billed hourly for the crew, plus one flat truck fee. Pads, shrink wrap and taking furniture apart are included. You get an estimated total before you book. More on local pricing.
Which moves get a fixed price instead of hourly?
Long-distance moves within Florida, white glove moves and commercial moves get a written price after a walkthrough, in person or by video. Local household moves, labor-only jobs, small moves and same-day moves are billed hourly.
Are there extra fees for stairs, long carries or wrapping?
No separate fees. Stairs and long walks to the truck take more time, so they show up in the hours, not as a surcharge.
Do you charge more for weekends or short notice?
No. Same-day, weekend and holiday moves are billed at the same rate as any other day.
Is the quote free?
Yes. Estimates and walkthroughs are free and there’s no obligation.
Insurance and the crew
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry $1M in general liability coverage and a $50,000 bond. We’ll send a certificate of insurance to your building, HOA or landlord, and name them as certificate holder if they ask.
Who will be on my move?
Every crew is led by a master mover with at least five years of professional moving experience, working with background-checked college-athlete movers we train ourselves. About our master movers.
Do you subcontract jobs?
No. We don’t hand moves to other companies or bring in day labor.
What we move
Do you move pianos, gun safes and pool tables?
Yes. Uprights, baby grands, gun safes, pool tables, aquariums, grandfather clocks and pieces over 1,000 pounds. Tell us about them when you book so we send the right people and equipment. Heavy item moving.
Will you move my washer, dryer or freezer?
Yes, once it’s disconnected. Unhook water lines, gas lines and dryer vents yourself or have a plumber or appliance tech do it, and empty and defrost freezers the day before.
Is there anything you won’t move?
We don’t move hazardous materials such as propane tanks, gasoline, paint thinner or pool chemicals, and we don’t move live plants long distance. Cash, jewelry, medications and important papers should travel with you.
Do you take apart and reassemble furniture?
Yes. Beds, tables, desks and most bookcases are taken apart and put back together as part of the move.
Booking and scheduling
How far ahead should I book?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for most moves. The last few days of the month and Saturdays fill first. Same-day and next-day moves are often possible, so call even if it’s last minute.
What hours do you work?
The phones are answered 24/7. Moves are scheduled around your day, including early mornings for buildings with set move windows.
Can you hold my things if my closing is delayed?
Yes. We can load into a storage unit or portable container and deliver to the new home once you have keys. Storage moves.
Where we work
What areas do you serve?
All of Tampa Bay from our five locations in Lutz, Wesley Chapel, Downtown Tampa, Brandon and Plant City, including Pasco, Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. See all locations.
Do you move out of state?
Not at the moment. We move anywhere within Florida, such as Tampa to Orlando, Miami, Jacksonville or Sarasota.
