Crossing the bay
People cross the bay for a job, a partner or a change of scene, and we drive the Howard Frankland and the Gandy with their furniture every week. The bridge is the one part of the day you can’t plan around on the fly. An accident on the Howard Frankland at the wrong hour can add an hour to the move, so we schedule the crossing outside rush hour and switch to the Gandy or the Courtney Campbell when the Frankland is backed up.
The drive is part of the job, priced by the hour like the rest of the move. Your written estimate shows it before you book.
Three kinds of St. Pete moves
- Downtown condos along Beach Drive and Central Ave. Dock reservations, freight elevator windows and a certificate of insurance the building wants before you move. Send us the building’s rules and we’ll take care of it.
- Old Northeast, Crescent Lake and Kenwood. 1920s bungalows with original floors, narrow doors and alleys out back. We protect the floors, measure the big pieces and often load from the alley.
- Snell Isle and Shore Acres. Waterfront homes, many raised above flood level with long exterior stairs. Stairs add time, so we bring a bigger crew.

Do you charge extra to cross the bay?
There’s no separate bridge or travel fee. The drive time is part of the hourly job and shows in your written estimate.
Can you move me into a downtown St. Pete condo?
Yes. We’ll provide the certificate of insurance your building asks for and work inside your freight elevator or dock reservation. Our high-rise move-in guide covers what buildings usually want.
How long does a Tampa-to-St. Pete move take?
Plan on a normal local move plus the bridge crossing. A two-bedroom is usually 5–7 hours door to door.
