I highly recommend Merit and Muscle Movers. I needed an old washing machine removed from an upstairs laundry room and a new washing machine moved upstairs and positioned in its place. The job was especially challenging because my stairlift partially obstructed the stairway, yet they handled it professionally and safely. What impressed me most was that they scheduled and completed the job in less than a week after my call, when several other companies either couldn’t or wouldn’t do it. The two young movers were kind, courteous, hardworking, and respectful of my home. They carefully maneuvered both washing machines, positioned the new one exactly where it belonged, reassembled my stairlift, and returned my furniture to its original locations. I especially appreciated how they treated my frightened cat. Before they began working, they quietly introduced themselves by letting her sniff their hands and gave her time to become comfortable with them. Their patience and kindness toward her meant a great deal to me. They completed a job that others would not attempt, and they did it with professionalism, care, and genuine kindness. I recently used Merit & Muscle Moving, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the first phone call to the last item being unloaded, the entire process was professional, efficient, and stress-free. The crew arrived on time, worked hard the entire move, and handled my furniture and boxes with great care. They were respectful, friendly, and communicated clearly throughout the day so I always knew what was happening. Even with some heavy and awkward pieces, they found safe, efficient ways to move everything without damaging my home or belongings. What stood out most was their work ethic. There was no wasted time—they stayed focused, hustled the entire move, and treated my belongings as if they were their own. Their pricing was transparent, and there were no surprises at the end. If you’re looking for a moving company that is reliable, hardworking, and professional, I highly recommend Merit & Muscle Moving. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. The movers arrived without the proper tools and equipment needed to complete the job efficiently. They spent nearly two hours trying to dismantle a single entertainment center, costing me approximately $450 in labor alone. Previous movers dismantled the same unit in about 15 minutes because they had the proper tools and experience. The truck they brought also did was not large enough to fit all of my furniture. Throughout much of the move, they spent more time discussing how to complete the work than actually moving my belongings. At the time, very few items had been handled, and none of the heavy furniture—which was the primary reason I hired professional movers—had been moved. To make matters worse, they ran over and damaged a sign on my neighbors property.  They also damaged my kitchen table because they failed to properly wrap or protect it before moving it. These damages could have been avoided with basic care and professional moving practices. I want to be clear that I am not upset with the workers themselves, as they were doing their best under the circumstances. My frustration is directed toward the owner of the company for sending a crew to such a large and demanding job unprepared, without the proper tools, training, or support needed to complete it efficiently and safely. My furniture is not cheap, and several items have already been damaged, with parts lost during the process. As of now, not a single item has been fully reassembled. Items have been left behind at the old house while other pieces have been brought to the new house, resulting in disorganization and incomplete handling of my belongings. Additionally, I want to acknowledge that last minute on Friday, I called Jordan and asked if he could send help to load my U-Haul. He immediately responded and sent a crew on very short notice. I truly appreciated that support, and it gave me hope and confidence going into the move on Saturday. Unfortunately, the experience today did not meet those expectations. Overall, the service was unprepared, inefficient, and careless. Between the lack of proper equipment, the excessive delays, the property damage, and the damage to my furniture, this was an unacceptable experience. Russell and Yassin were phenomenal! They were very respectful, and showed a lot of care with all of our belongings. They worked very quickly and efficiently.
