Who is Merit and Muscle Movers?
We are a local Tampa Bay moving crew serving Wesley Chapel, Tampa, and the towns around them. We have done 300 moves and counting, with a perfect rating on our verified Google Business Profiles.
Are you licensed and insured?
Our movers are mostly USF college students, chosen because they are former athletes and team captains who work hard together. Every mover trains in house, and the crew is led by a hands-on manager.
Are your movers your own crew?
Yes. Our movers are vetted, mostly former college athletes, and we train every one of them in house before they step into your home.
Pricing & Quotes
How much does a local move cost?
A local move is an honest hourly rate plus a flat truck fee for materials. Call or fill out the form and we give you a clear price with no surprises.
Do you charge extra for materials, stairs, or heavy items?
No surprise fees. Shrink wrap, tools, and moving blankets are free on local moves, and furniture assembly is included.
Is the quote really free?
Yes. Quotes are free, with a clear price up front and no hidden fees.
Booking & Same-Day
Can you come same-day or last-minute?
Often, yes. We answer 24/7 and respond in under 5 minutes, and we do not raise rates just because it is short notice.
How far ahead should I book?
Sooner is better for weekends and month-end, but we handle plenty of same-day and next-day moves. Just call.
What are your hours?
We answer the phone 24/7, even at 2 a.m. Moves are scheduled to fit your day.
Specialty & Heavy Items
Do you move pianos, gun safes, and pool tables?
Yes. Heavy and oversized items are our specialty. Pianos, gun safes, pool tables, and items over 1,000 pounds, the stuff most movers turn down.
Can you move items over 1,000 pounds?
Yes. We are trained and equipped for very heavy items, and we have moved loads up to a 2,500-pound fish tank using cranes.
Do you move other oversized or awkward items?
If it is heavy, awkward, or high-value, ask us. Arcade machines, large safes, and oddly shaped pieces are what we are built for.

Do you do long-distance moves?
Yes, we handle long-distance moves within Florida, with free boxes on large moves and $250 off your first long-distance move.
Do you charge for travel?
Pricing is clear and up front. Tell us where you are moving from and to, and your quote covers it with no surprises.
Packing & Materials
Do you offer packing?
Yes. We can pack as much or as little as you want, and we wrap and protect everything before it goes on the truck.
Do you provide boxes and materials?
Shrink wrap, tools, and moving blankets are free on local moves, and we include free boxes on large long-distance moves.
Do you assemble and disassemble furniture?
Yes. Bed frames and furniture disassembly and reassembly are included.
