Office Movers in Tampa
Friday night out, Monday morning working. We move offices in Westshore, downtown, Rocky Point and the I-75 office parks after hours, with the building’s COI and elevator booking handled before the truck shows up.
What an office move actually costs is the downtime
The furniture is the easy part. The expensive part is twelve people sitting in a new suite with no desks on a Tuesday. So we plan office moves backward from the hour your team needs to be working, and most of them run Friday evening through Saturday. Your staff leaves one office and walks into the other.
A typical job for us is a 6-to-25-person office: a law practice moving from a Kennedy Boulevard tower to Rocky Point, a medical billing group going from Hidden River to a bigger suite in Tampa Palms, a marketing shop trading a Ybor loft for Water Street. Bigger offices we do in phases, department by department, so nobody is ever fully down.
One master mover with at least five years on the job runs every office crew. He does the walkthrough with you, builds the plan, and is the same person on site on move night.

The building rules we deal with so you don’t have to
Almost every Tampa office building has a move-out packet, and it’s usually the thing that delays a move, not the furniture. We’ve been through enough of them to know what’s coming.
- Certificate of insurance. Property managers want a COI naming the building owner and management company as additional insured, usually 48 to 72 hours ahead. Send us the name and address of the management company when you book and we’ll have it to them the same day. General liability, umbrella and hired/non-owned auto are all on it.
- Freight elevator and dock reservations. Westshore and downtown towers book the freight elevator in windows, often only after 6 p.m. We schedule around your building’s window, and we protect the elevator cab and the corridor before anything rolls.
- Floor and wall protection. Hard board on the path from the suite to the dock, corner guards on the turns, door jambs padded. Your security deposit is not our problem to create.
- Parking and staging. Downtown, Channelside and Hyde Park have almost no truck parking. We figure out where the truck sits and whether a permit is needed before move day, not at 6 p.m. in front of a fire lane.
- Access and badges. One point of contact on your side with after-hours access. We’ll tell you exactly how many crew members will be in the building.
What we move, and how
Workstations and cubicles
Modular workstations come down, get labeled panel by panel, and go back up to your new floor plan. Tell us the layout and we’ll have it standing before the desks go in.
Desks, chairs, filing
Lateral files move loaded when the building allows it and locked shut. Desks are padded and stretch-wrapped, chairs bagged so the fabric stays clean.
Monitors and workstation hardware
We pack and move monitors, towers, docks and printers in padded crates or boxes, labeled by seat. Your IT people handle servers, network cabling and anything that needs to be shut down in order. We coordinate the timing with them.
Conference and reception
Conference tables are disassembled, the tops wrapped and carried flat. Reception desks, glass, art and the awkward one-off pieces get the same treatment as a piano move.
Safes, copiers, equipment
Heavy items are what we’re known for. A 600-pound copier or a floor safe is a normal night for this crew, not a reason to call a specialist.
Old furniture and e-waste
If the old suite has to be empty for the walkthrough, we can haul what you’re not taking. Ask when you book so it’s on the plan.
How we run an office move
1. Walkthrough. For anything over a handful of desks we come see both suites. We count workstations, measure the elevator and the tight corners, and check the dock. You get a written estimate with crew size, hour range and what’s included.
2. Color-coded plan. Every desk, box and chair gets a colored label matched to a zone on the new floor plan. Your staff packs their own desk contents into labeled boxes we drop off ahead of time, or our packers do it.
3. Move night. We protect the path, take down workstations, load by zone, and drive. At the new suite, workstations go up first, then furniture, then the labeled boxes land at the right desk. Nothing gets stacked in the lobby to be sorted later.
4. Debris out, walk the space. We take the wrap and cardboard with us and walk both suites with you before we leave.
Pricing is our standard hourly crew rate plus a flat truck fee, the same structure as every move we do. There is no night or weekend premium for office work.

Office moving FAQ
Can you get a COI to my property manager?
Yes. Give us the management company’s legal name and address and we’ll send a certificate naming them as additional insured, usually the same business day. Most Tampa buildings want it 48 to 72 hours before the move.
Do you work nights and weekends?
Yes, and most office moves happen then. Friday 6 p.m. to Saturday afternoon is our most common office window. There’s no surcharge for after-hours work.
Do you take apart and rebuild cubicles?
Yes. We disassemble modular workstations, label the panels and hardware, and rebuild them to your new floor plan. Send us the layout ahead of time and they’ll be up before the desks come off the truck.
What about computers, servers and phones?
We pack and move monitors, towers, docks, printers and phones, labeled by seat. Servers, network gear and cabling should be shut down and reconnected by your IT provider. We’ll coordinate the schedule with them so the hardware arrives when they’re ready for it.
How far ahead should we book?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for a small office and gives the building time to process the COI and elevator booking. Month-end and the last two weeks of December fill first. If your lease surprised you, call anyway. We’ve done offices on three days’ notice.
Can you move us within the same building?
Yes. Floor-to-floor and suite-to-suite moves are priced by the hour like any other job, usually with no truck fee.
Do you move offices in Wesley Chapel and Pasco?
Yes. Our second hub is on SR-54 in Wesley Chapel. See commercial movers Wesley Chapel.
Tell us the move-out date and we’ll build the plan
Send the form below with both addresses and a rough desk count, or call and talk to the person who’ll run the job.
